2014 Vanquish vs 2020 DBS Supperleggera

Currently have an Audi R8 2021 Coupe. I want a GT and front engine vehicle. I am torn between these two choices. The Vanquish has the NA V12 but the DBS looks so stunning in person and the new infotainment, although still outdated. I was fiddling with the Vanquish infotainment and it is SO old. If you had the choice which would you pick?

I'd say they're completely different cars, although similar. (and I am not yet an owner but hope to be one day)

The Vanquish (and btw the 2015's came with the 8 speed and updated engine management) is a classic, beautiful AM from the last generation of beautiful AM design. The NA V12 is just so nice.

The DBS is an absolute bruiser. I don't personally like the DB11 since it lost all of the beauty, but the DBS definitely helps bring some of this back. It contains a lot more modern tech than the Vanquish (although not enough by today's 2024 standards), but nonetheless it could be considered as the "better" car.

I think it all really depends on what makes you "feel" better when you drive them. You may find the Vanquish just feels absolutely special, and that's the car for you. If the Vanquish feels just like another car to you, whereas the DBS feels like the next upgrade from your R8 or Turbo S, then the DBS is for you.

I owned a 2012 V12 Vantage for several years and in 2020 I bought a 2019 DBS Superleggera.
The power difference in the engine is staggering, and the DBS sounds almost as nice as my NA V12 did.
Both Vanquish and DBS are beautiful cars...each beholder will have a preference.
I have over 32,000 miles now on my DBS and have had almost zero issues with it. Great looking and performing car.
Thanks,
JH

Is there a better front end presence than the DBS in the car world?

GL with your decision, it's a fun one! My vote is 100% for the DBS, only car I like more is the DB12 . . . You can upgrade the infotainment to CarPlay, I did the same for my 2019 Vantage, night and day. I am also not a fan of the previous VH platform interior (especially the steering wheel), that alone stopped my AM ownership for years, outside all VH cars are stunning, problem is, I sit inside the darn thing to drive My '19 has plenty of interior issues as well (I'm honest with myself), the biggest drawback (old infotainment) can be easily rectified - Looking forward to hearing about your decision! I voted DBS only because the Vanquish isn't the S with 8spd!

Previous DBS models hold their value better than the Vanquish has. Just owning something newer is nice too.

I recently bought a 2015 Vanquish. With that said, if I had the financial ability to buy a 2020 DBS instead, I probably would. The DBS costs more than twice as much, and I'm not quite that affluent yet. But I don't feel like I got a bad deal at all; the Vanquish is a fantastic thing.

Hard to make sense of this poll. If you can swing the cost of a 2020 DBS, then why in the world would you consider a 2014 Vanquish instead.

Agreed. Why not compare to a 2018 Vanquish S?

Haven't driven either one, so can't comment on driving characteristic, but style wise I'd take vanquish over new gen astons 1000%

DBS no doubt light years ahead of the Vanquish in technology, power, handling etc. Both beautiful cars. For me it would have to be the Vanquish. The VH Astons with NA engines are hands down the among the most beautiful cars ever built. The Palmer era cars are nice, but not as beautiful. Turbo charged engines never sound as nice as NA, and the AM NA V12 amongst the finest. I know which I would rather have in my garage. But it's all a personal choice, neither is a bad one.

Vanquish 2017-18 infotainment is great with Apple carplay and Android auto.

In Canada there are only 2014 Vanquish for sale. Not too concerned about cost, this will be a forever vehicle.
