Replaced TPMS SENSOR WITH CLONE how to deleteTPMS ERROR MESSAGE
Hi
on my 2009 DB-9 TPMS sensor batteries went out. It has smart tire sensor and system.
i found info on buying Autel MX sensor and successfully cloned them. Smart tire display lights becomes green but I have TPMS error sign flashing on my DASH BOARD , I drove the car for almost 2 months it did not go away
any way to remove this flashing TPMs sign without a trip to dealer ?
thx

lights on TPMS BOX itself is green so it’s reading the pressure fine
it’s just that TPMs sign won’t go away
If the Smartire light is green you most likely have wiring issue from the module to the cluster. 4 wires on the module, power and ground. The other 2 are signals one is tire fault one is check tires.
thx
Thank you all for the responses
turns out my problem was slightly different
few years ago when I was trying to disconnect smarttire box , the wire male connector on the back had broken in to two I had used crazy glue and it was working but during this time when I was messing around with sensor cloning (which btw was successful ) i must have damaged that connection as it separated again but I was just able to put it back together by just plugging it back but then I realized hmm this must be causing the problem.
I read on this forum that one can by pass TPMs if you just connect 3 of 4 wires together
on the vehicle side of the plug
red/blue mix : 12 v power supply
black is ground
red is TPMS system fault line error
white is low pressure error line
I thought that white must be fine as my 4 tire pressure light goes out after driving a bit and TPMs status light turns green
so fault must be with RED wire : which is TPMS STSYEM FAULT LINE
red and blue STRIP WIRE is power supply leave it untouched.
so what I decided is took a wire about 3 inch which was lying around, I found small connector pins in the garage I soldered them to two ends. Stuck one in black and one in red wire on vehicle side of the plug , wrapped it with electrical tape to secure it and BAM TPMS display error light on dash board went away.
I tested TPMS by partially deflating and inflating each tire and it worked properly.
mine are like this
GREEN : Front DS
Red: Front DS
Blue: Rear PS
Yellow: Rear PS
so sensor is not location specific
