TPMS sensors EXPLODED! (see pics)

I had the HRE's installed on my QP Sport GT
at first everything ran great

after 3500 Miles later this happened to 2 of 4 TPMS sensors

ANYone have any idea how this could have happened?

WTF!!!!!!!!!
It looks like the sensor had crashed between the wheel and the tire when you was driving fast!

sorry about my english....

Carrera305 is infamous around these parts
HRE's are not designed for TPMS sensors. Looks like the stem was tightened down too tight and vibrated itself apart. Did your shop install the strap to hold the sensor against the barrel?

holy!
I threw some rims once on my old 328ci, it threw off the tire monitoring system as well. It bothered me but i forced myself to ignore it.
But nothing of this magnitude.

It looks like it was over tightened, A LOT. When the Beru sensors are overtightened, it will split in three places at the ball-seat area, then spilt directly down the middle of the silicone backing plate (see attached pic). That will explain why it was cut in half. Over time, I’m sure the whole sensor would have disintegrated.
