Typical life for V8V shocks - any insights?

Just had mine checked by my LoCo Exotics tech who stated that 'no leaks at all 4 corners'.....wondering if that is a definitive enough review....(thinkin Nooo). Thoughts are these shocks designed to operate for circa 100K IDK ----?

I have an early '04 DB9 with recently a shock issue developing on the rears; I have seen some light leak since last year knowing they were on their way out. Know that this is the non-adjustable suspension system (barand = Multimatic) used up and through '08 or '09 I believe on both DB9 and Vantage (albeit with different damping/rebound on latter car)

Not bad for 65k miles and 20 years whereoff I've been driving the last 25k in hot climates.
