Squeaky rear suspension on V8 Vantage S

Happy Friday everyone. Trying to solve another issue on the 2012 V8 Vantage S I got last week. When driving on city roads or any minor bump in the road, the rear suspension sounds like I’m having passionate love on an old motel bed. I’m talking VERY squeaky. Like I’m walking around an old haunted castle with wooden floors. The previous owner installed coil overs.

Anything I can do to remedy this at home with a basic tool set and some grease? It’s pretty embarrassing to bring passengers along to see my shiny new toy and it immediately sounds like an old sh*tbox

Thanks

I have a similar noise. My mechanic tells me that it is from the bushings in the suspension. Mine is a 2014, our cars are 11 and 13 years old. Makes sense that some rubber would be worn by now. I'm going to replace my bushings when I replace the suspension. Already dreaming about that

Good luck with the that job! Mine had new coilovers installed 5 years ago so was more annoying that it happened. During my annual in May the tech sprayed lube around the area and I haven’t heard a squeak ever since. Not sure exactly where though.

HelloThese are simply the silent blocks for the rear upper wishbones, on the body side. Simply remove these two axles, lightly grease them, and reassemble. Tighten to 11 mkg.
Be careful to tighten the suspension under stress (as if the wheel were on the ground / raise it halfway with a second jack under the hub, before tightening)

Try to silicone spray made for garage door belts. Did it on a older car and it didnt squeek for 2 years until I sold it.

I had the same thing on my 2012 Vantage. The garage lubricated the rear bushes and all’s been well for a year now. Wouldn’t be a surprise if yours had the same issue.

Most likely its control arm upper bushings, mine had same issue from day one, mostly when it was cold. replaced with polyurethane bushings (myself) noise is gone. I have BC coil overs too,

Those squeaky coil overs after bumps are likely dry bushings or mounts, pretty common with aftermarket setups

There is nothing "simply" about removing the axles lol

Soooo my V8V GT had the horrible squeak from the front control arm bushings. I was advised against the powerflex bushings even though I had already bought them. My indy shop pushed out the old bushings, trimed them, relubed them and reinstalled them and the noise has been gone since. I think it was about 5hrs of labor total.

Why were the powerflex bushings advised against?
