How many original owners still own their Aston Martin?

I have a 2007 V8 Vantage. Ordered it from the factory in January 2006 and received it just before Christmas 2006. Eighteen years of ownership.

That's the way to ignore depreciation.

Longest I've kept a car is 9 years and 90,000 miles.

19" Vellano wheels, 1/2" wider than stock. KW coilovers with their universal hydraulic front end lift kit. RSC headers and 200 cel cats with Quicksilver exhaust. Daytime running lights, AMR/Prodrive sideskirts and a bunch of other carbon fiber parts. All of the work was done at least 12 years ago and is still holding up really well.

any pics of the front end lift and the mounted compressor? i wasnt aware anyone had this on their vantage. i was planning on buying the nitron electron roadsport (david appleby) to get electronic dampening and then adding nitrons front end lift but wasnt sure it would all fit.

Added and modified the center button to operate the lift system.

Pump and tank is about the size of a shoe box and tucks in nicely in the back corner of the trunk

One other thing that might be of interest, the lift system raises the front end about two inches.

Lovely! I see you have strong preferences when it comes to color scheme! 😁

That lift system is interesting. Do you have any more information on it. I have wanted to lower my car, but my driveway is kind of a steep slope and the front splitter clears by maybe and inch when backing out at the stock height, so it's not possible.

The coilovers slip right in. No problem there. There was one small modification that had to be done. If you notice in the picture, there are two springs, a thick one and a thin one. The thin one needs to be cut half to accomodate the lift system's thickness. The hoses are steel braided and long enough to run all the way to the rear. There are spare hose clips under the car so it's easy to rout. If I remember correctly, I was able to rout the hoses behind the rear bumper and into the trunk area without drilling. I positioned the pump and hydraulic fluid reservoir box (a little taller than a shoebox) under the drivers side taillight. There's a small lip there so I attached a small bracket under the box to keep it from sliding out. It has never moved or bounced out.

The control button was trickier. I bought a new center console plate that has three mounting holes for the switches. I also bought a spare button. I took it apart and cleaned off the black finish. I laid in my design over the white plastic surface and painted it black again. The design glows white with the lights on. When activated, the red light flickers. When fully raised, the red light glows steady. There was a lot of trial and error on wiring the connector.

I installed the system around 2012. It has never given me any problems and the fluid has never needed topping off.

Good luck if you plan to do this.

I’m the original owner of my 2009 V8 Vantage Coupe, manual, Sports Pack, Onyx Black with Obsidian Black. Absolutely wonderful car. It’s a weekend/fun car, so only 17k miles.
