Foxwell NT680 Pro scanner not connecting
Foxwell NT680 Pro scanner not connecting
Hello everyone,
The car is a 2007 V8 Vantage. I went a few days ago to take the car to get emissions done and guy said the scanner couldn't connect to the car it was giving a communications error. When I got back home I tried connecting my scanner a NT680 pro to the car to see if it will connect. The scanner powers on so the port is getting power. I can do autovin and it will read the vin of the car no problem but when I try to do anything else I get the following message and when I hit ok it freezes and will not load past this message
"Generally there are two OBD interfaces. One is on the driver sidesed to test powertrain systems such as engine system. The other is used to test other systems including intrument and airbag Please choose the correct interface to test different systems."
Any ideas how to get the scanner to connect or something I should check?
Before anyone asks yes I am using the obd2 port and not the body port

Both ports are obd. They split the different systems between them for some reason. I guess they ran out of CAN buses or something.
If you're getting power then I'd think any fuses would be ok. Maybe try manually setting the VIN and car model. I have a NT530 and it connects fine. I have a 2013 so don't know if that is different.
