Shooter Martin is infamous around these parts
headlights

I own a '06 Aston Martin DB9 and am doing some recon on swapping headlights for a brighter option and hopefully I will find out how to incorporate those daytime running lights in the headlight housing like the newer models. Any advice would be greatly appreciated?

I upgrade DB9/Vantage headlights to a much brighter, better beam pattern by removing the Aston projectors which are a) A terrible design and b) The reflective coating starts to separate from the projector bowl making a bad headlight even worse, and installing state of the art Bi-LED projectors,

There is no room for DRLs like the DB9.2 inside the headlight, Halos would be an option but too BMW like in my opinion , I change the indicator bulb for a switchback Indicator/DRL bulb which is bright enough for a DRL and can be switched on manually or rewired to act as DRL

I read your upgrade and I must say it’s not for the faint hearted. Personally I would like the addition of halos for DRL,s. But is will always be an individual decision.

I've done the upgrade for quite a lot of Aston Martins now, but I will soon be offering a DIY Upgrade that will use the same Bi-LED projectors but will be virtually plug and play

I'm definitely interested in doing something like this some day, but four main and four dipped beams is a bit overkill and very likely not legal in the US. If I ever attempt to replicate your work I'm likely to wire them up to mimic the factory functionality.

I don't do the 4 dipped beams any longer, the wiring changed on the projectors making it more awkward and more likely to thrown an an error so now the outer headlight is dipped, and both headlights are on on full beam.

The outer headlight does both dipped and mainbeam as when mainbeam comes on you don't lose any of the dipped beam light.
