Central Florida Independent Service
Central Florida Independent Service
Coming out of the P-car world and leaning into the Aston world for a change of pace... one thing that I've not had any experience with is any independent service providers that can work on Aston... There are several Porsche indy's locally that are some of the best I know of...
Does anyone know or have experience with indy service in Florida - bonus points for central Florida.... looking at Vantage's - 2020-2021, considering 19's.

For sure not having the number of vehicles on the road like Porsche does definitely limits the amount of knowledgeable independent shops, along with the very limiting cost of the Aston Martin Diagnostic System (AMDS) means even fewer. The Mercedes era Astons require the AMDS2 and outside of the dealer network the amount of shops that would invest in that are probably in the single digits nationwide. You still could probably find a shop that will do the mechanical work, and likely would be a shop that services exotics.
I recently used the Tampa dealer, I'm near Fort Lauderdale, but was also considering the one in Orlando.

I've used AM Orlando since they're only 45 minutes away. most of my service I perform myself.
Same here, and I try to make a video since there is not a lot out there for these cars. It's a shame that servicing these cars at the dealer can be what makes them unaffordable or at least what puts so many off from owning an Aston.
Mine will only go to the dealer if it needs the AMDS2 to correct something. Fortunately my experience with the Tampa dealer was a positive one, but just talking to the Fort Lauderdale dealer has put me off of them.

not to hijack thread but...they were the Lotus dealer near my house, lady ran red light and whacked my Esprit, dropped it off there after hours. they called next day to tell me to come retrieve vehicle and transport to their collision center farther north. When i arrived they said while they searched for the key, would i speak to their mechanic about another Esprit in the shop. He told me the symptoms and i told him 2 likely causes (after rebuilding pretty much everything on the car and troubleshooting all sorts of engine symptoms i had nearly memorized the service notes and all the forum technical posts) the mechanic dismissed my suggestions. i said "ok why did you ask me here then" the service manager shrugged and told the mechanic to "replace the components and charge the customer, no loss to us"
then they didn't set parking brake on Esprit while on lift, it rolled back demolishing the open door and front quarter panel but fortunately jammed and didn't fall off lift
it continues to spiral down from there, but that is enough for reference
on their website, they advertise that their exotic car service dept is indie and contract...
benificial or detrimental i don't know, but a local V8V owner i know was just quoted $21k in March for a twin plate clutch there....
there are a few posts on here, Pistonheads and Facebook of positive experiences with Orlando dealer FWIW

My first oil change on my 2009 vantage was done at a local garage here in New Port Richey Florida, west center of the state..*** automotive did my work. They work on all cars even Europeans. But not a specialist in any automobile.
They are very clean and prompt I believe I paid $120 for him to change the oil in the V8V. I bought 10 liter(2X)Motul 8100/X-power 10w60 from Walmart at $127.92. From Steel Wings, I got an Aston Martin Vantage oil filter and 3 sump plugs with shipping and handling was $120.09, for grand total of $368.01 for my vantage oil change. I say that's not too bad.
