Just curious,.. My friend has an e55 and claims he can smoke a DB9, I know he can probably take one but would the results be that bad. I orderd a DB9 about a month ago and will probably be running him when it gets here around June. What do you guys think will happen..

e55 will win without a doubt. It runs about half a sec quicker in the quarter and it traps around 5 mph faster. Race him from like a 70 mph roll and you will have a better chance than racing off the line.

 

The E55 is about a second faster to 100mph than the DB9, meaning he will be 10 car lengths ahead by then.

 

what is the weight onthe e55, isnt it a little heavier the the DB9. I know the DB9 is around 3800. Also as far as hp, they are not that different. E55 with 470 and DB9 with 450.. Maybe its the big torque difference.

 

The E55 is vastly underrated in power. Most dyno at about 420rwhp which translates to about 520 crank hp. There are a couple of people who have gotten into the 11's with a bone stock E55 at the drags.
