Another Chicagoland Audi Dealer Non Chalant about losing business:
another sale lost at the Audi Exchange - Here is the e-dialogue with Fred Downey of the Audi Exchange.. who's not the sharpest knife in the set. I didn't want to post this, until his email to me today insisting I make the post. Basically he is trying to sell me an Audi S8 2008, at sticker price, attaining it from a dealer who offered it to me few thousand below sticker. I am a 5 time repeat customer at this dealership, yet STICKER price was where he was at. No flaming intented, but i'm in awe they would do that. This isn't an Skuderia, nor 09 GT2.

Fred,
I do want to say that you could not be further from any truth. Your reply is surprising; rather than try to win a customer back, you stab with complete inaccuracies. Comedic, but not in alignment with customer service 101.
You’re firing blanks:
First - “you are using myself and our organization as a pricing service"??
- I came to you first after purchasing 5 previous cars expecting a ‘break,’only to be quoted MSRP. If that is using you, well I guess you should turn away every repeat customer.
Second - “and guess what no one makes an all season tire fo r20" wheels” - you could not be further from the truth. - http://www.tirerack.com/tires/Sizes.jsp?make=Pirelli&model=PZero+Nero+M%26S are the tires they put on, and it clearly comes (IN STOCK) in 20” sizes exact to the S8 as well... So GUESS WHAT - YOUR DEAD WRONG...AGAIN.
Third - “thanks in advance for your loyalty”? - Your sarcasm has no merit nor could it be further from the facts. I bought/leased 5 cars from you prior... Hence there WAS PROVEN loyalty. You diminished it trying to make a quick buck. What happened? Tough times? Your tactics have yet again, lost two recent sales, as you may lose countless more from where I’m going to post this correspondence. The auto market is at its toughest times, so its surprising to see you count your pennies and watch your dimes go by.
Finally “the only loyalty here on both sides is to the mighty dollar..period” ?? I guess you’re speaking in behalf of yourself as well as “THE EXCHANGE”. That sums it up....
So your inaccuracies are obvious, and your tone is revengeful, and far from customer-centric. Perhaps you’ll do some research next time to back your words up with some facts. You’re correspondence proves that you and your dealership have no basis for customer retention, nor do you care.... PERIOD!

yuo get what you give.
it has become obvious...that you are using myself and our organization as a pricing service nothing more nothing less and guess what no one makes an all season tire for 20" wheels.....thanks in advance for your loyalty.....and again i challenge you to produce documents that reflect
the alledged discounts......the only loyalty here on both sides is to the mighty dollar..period
Fred,
Ok, this is my issue with "The Exchange."
I have bought the following from you and Bruce Semersky:
996 Turbo,
997 C2s Cab
Audi All Road
Audi A8L
Audi RS6
I referred purchases towards:
Audi S4,
GT3RS
997 Turbo
997 Turbo Cab
I return to my original salesman (you,) and the owner, time after time to "build a relationship, which is for best business practices and to get a return customer deal:
I asked about a Audi RS4 Cabriolet. You quote me sticker stating its rarity, and other reasons. I got 5500 off sticker from another dealer.
I asked for an 08 S8, you quoted me sticker. I picked up an IDENTICAL car from Laurel Audi 3500 below sticker and free all season tires (I had a feeling this was the car you try to sell me at sticker, as the options were identical. Fred, with all due respect, you have no loyalty nor any value of building a customer relationship. I now do not have any loyalty to "THE EXCHANGE - I'll be planning to order both the all new RS6, and V12TT Diesel R8. Which dealer? To the one that wants to EARN MY BUSINESS.
Thanks (nothing personal of course)
Ryan

I didn't have a good experience with these guys either. I went there looking for an RS4 and was faced with a similar situation. They wanted sticker for the car and told me that if I could find it for any less than sticker then I should buy. So thats what I did. The second dealer I stopped at was willing to discount the car over three grand, so I bought it. And now I am looking at buying another car from that dealership. From your sig it looks like you picked up the S8, and I'm sure you got a deal on it too. This is just another reason why I will not deal with the Exchange! ! ! !

Yes I did pick it up.. over 3500 off at Laurel Audi, here's a pic. Looks black but its black cherry (burgandy flakes under sunlight)

Oh... i also picked up a new baloon white snow mobile.....
Ummm, more pics in the LAMBO SECTION SOON, after the snow melts and when its tolerable to stay outside more than a minute!
Wow....just wow.
It becomes obvious that we have high school drama queens working in dealerships when they throw out the most comical of claims with tires not being manufactured in a now common size.
It's strange that they wouldn't offer a repeat customer any sort of incentive, especially bearing in mind the fact that you gave them, from my opinion, upwards of $20,000 in business with those referrels....and I have to be on low end of the profits spectrum there.
When my uncle was looking for his next vehicle, we stopped by the exchange to check out an A8L and were offered stocker on it immediately. First time walk ins versus a long time customer and same price....nice....

That S8 is stunning, the Lambo w/ civic doors isn't bad either...
I think it was some exchange guys I was talking to at the autoshow, they were ******s.

Good for you man. I wish I had the power you do by posting it online and affecting so many people. I can assure you if something like this was posted about a local dealer I would stay away or expect a sincere applogy or that idiot to get fired.
Bad *** cars! Did good with the site

Ryan, thanks for posting this as i was going to go to Audi Exchange to get my wife a Q7 when her lease was up. i'm definately NOT going there now as i am not going to do business w/ those that have no concept of customer service.
