06-07 A4 S-line
Great choice for DD, still i think the new C is more suitable for the job.
That's what my wife wants me to get. But you can't get it with a stick.
I'd also look at audizine.com for additional feedback.

That's exactly what I'm looking to pick up! What are your thoughts? As a Daily driver...gas mileage, comfort, stereo, everything. I test drove an 08 A4..but it didn't have the S-line or sport package. I'll probably be buying online and flying to pick it up...so any info on whats to be expect would be great. Thanks!
I had an a4 before now a jetta as a daily driver Ill be looking for an other a4 this fall. For 20K you can have a 2006 s-line and with the new model coming up theyll be even cheaper. Only thing make sure you get a CPO otherwise youll cry. My main issue was the interior buttons were peeling off but its fixable other than that ....expect ususal things to break...

Interior buttons peeling? I've had my car for 2 years and 35+k miles, the interior is still good. The only thing I would look out for is the PCV, that is basically the only problem with 2006 2.0T's.

Pardon my ignorance...but what is PCV? And if I buy the car from a current owner the warranty should transfer correct? So do I need a CPO'd car? Or is that only if I buy from a dealership?
It's ok, PCV valve is a more technical term, it stands for "Positive Crankcase Ventilation valve". Apparently one of the vacuum hoses for it is easily corroded by the oil that runs through it, causing it to leak oil around the oilcap (not a major problem though) and there have been service recalls on it and it's covered under warranty. If you're looking to get a 2.0T, I'd go for a 2006 model as 2006 models have a 3 year/50k mile "everything covered" servicing and warranty like BMWs. 2007s do not have this or a driver's side memory seats. But you can play MP3's burned onto CDs...but if you get the navigation package on either a 2006 or 2007 the CD-MP3 playback becomes useless feature... as you can put SD cards directly into the stereo behind the navigation screen and have MP3 playback from SD cards- much more convenient!
