Just found out that the R8 V10 i previously spec'd will be available to purchase at list in August. In this market, take it or pass? Thanks.

pass, get a v8 and supercharge it. That big price bump for 2 cylinders seems too big for me.

I am going to drive one...

i have done a bunch of upgrades to my current r8 and want to hang on to it, but at the same time, I am not sure if I am ready to supercharge it... In the past when I went down the road of serious engines mods, it has always made my car unreliable...

Oh, what problems to have...

Come August it is decision time again...

Has anyone here in the US been given an actual price quote for a well equipped V10? I still haven't heard a real price. That, plus trade-in value for the V8, has resulted in my V8 being at PES right now undergoing a major medical procedure.

I have a friend that is ordering one. Audi told him last week that they have not finalized the prices on the 2010 R8 yet. This first V-10 R8 got delivered a few weeks back here in VA to the Prez of Audi NA. Looked really pretty

If the cost for the extra 2 cylinders gets the price anywhere near 200 large like I have read, I'd have to say pass......

Cop it! I just rode in one at Infineon Raceway here in Norcal and it sounded amazing, moreso from the outside. The extra weight from the V10 hasn't upset the balanced nature of the chassis.
The extra 100hp really makes a difference on the straight and the sound of the V10 at full song above 8000 is to die for! I don't think you'll regret purchasing it, esp. that Ibis white beauty!
