in general chromed/plated/whatever alternative looks not too great..but there's enough contrast on this car to make it work...i definitely dont mind it

It's the most successfull "chromed out" car I've seen. Seen M3's, A8's, Veyrons... But this looks quite good... Although would make others blind...

Actually not too bad looking on the R8. I'm thinking though, a satin finish would look even better.
