Audi Q7 TDI

Just dropped some change on a 2010 Audi Q7 TDI... Pick it up in about 3 weeks... Had to get it fully loaded to get the vented seats. Anyone one own one here? Care to share your thoughts or disappointment?

Thanks

congratulations ! the TDI should be real monster. I have had the 4.2 v8 for 3 years now..its a great everyday car. My air suspension just failed after 150 k kms but that could be due to a ruptured line since i got into a fender bender with it. Nice car none the less.

Yea... I almost bought a used 2009 4.2. I owned an A8 with that same engine and it never disappointed me. The gas mileage and resale value of the V8 had me worried. It seems that the TDI is the hot seller of the model... I wonder if I can do some mods to that engine and get it to pour out that black smoke like I see those guys do to their dodge trucks!

My brother has a 2010 TDI and loves it.. today he drove from woodstock VT to Camden ME (about 220 miles) with his wife and three young boys in the car, with roof rack and averaged 29 mpg. they love it. over 600 miles a tank, usually. I wish the A5 TDI would come to the states, I'd buy one in a heartbeat.

I borrowed the car for a week about a month ago. Nice ride, but I live in Downtown Boston and it was a little large. I drive an S5.

The Audi/VW TDIs seem to be killing it right now, as are the BMW 35d X5s. Not hard to see why though, better gas economy with no reduction in drivability, and in many cases are better at "SUV like" things like towing and whatnot.

I'd love to pick up a TDI Q7 for the wifey at some point. Too bad we don't get the monster V12 TDI here in the states. But It doesn't really fit in with what they want to push the TDIs on (I'm also upset we don't get the Touareg R50 here).

Congrats! I have an Allroad Quattro with the 3.0 TDI at my Europe facility and the engine is great. I also got lucky on a car rental in Frankfurt last year. I requested a mid-size wagon and got a LOADED Q7 TDI with S-Line package. I drove it all over Germany and it is an excellent vehicle. Triple digit speeds were a breeze. I currently drive an '07 M-B ML320 CDI so I'm a strong proponent of diesel technology.

I have a wonderful local client with a daytona grey tdi. We just ordered some 22's for and some H&R Springs. Did you get the air suspension?

Just crazy

Update to the story... About a week from delivery I got my 2010 TDI pulled out from under me. Can't locate one anywhere. So now I am on the hook for a 2011 with delivery in September... I have never tried so hard to spend 65K....

On the bright side, you'll now get an 8-speed transmission with the 2011.

I received the first 2011 TDI in Florida and am amazed at the fuel economy and performance. First trip 600 miles with 4 bikes, 4 people, 2 dogs and a ton of gear we got 24.5 averaging 80mph. Last week we averaged 29mpg for a 2.5 hour trip. This is hands down a better car that our ML320CDI. Thinking about buying a second as I am jealous my wife has this one!

If we got the V2 would you be ready to drop between 110-125k for it? That is the biggest reason why we will never see it besides emissions.

Does the TDI Q7 feel slow and sluggish, or peppy, or what? I would like to see a TDI in a Q5, but a guy locally has a TDI A3 and he says it feels slow to him. 40 mpg but slow.
