Anybody have an exhaust / ECU package for the R8 V10??

I know APR is pretty known for their ECU upgrade, but what about an ECU / exhaust package? Sure one can get the APR ECU upgrade and then throw on an exhaust later or whenever, but then who knows if the car will be running too lean, too rich, etc with the additional exhaust and no tuning for it.

Anyone?

Thanks.

You can dyno check the car. Check Akrapovic exhaust for the R8 V10. Amazing work & quality.

Any Vendors on here can help? Anyone on here dyne tune in house if I had an exhaust on the car? I would rather have the car dyno tuned versus an ECU swap.

I'm very happy with the sound of my Stasis exhaust. You could do their exhaust and ECU tune and keep a warranty that way.

AJag,

Do you have a dyno sheet from stock to after your ECU / Exhaust?

Feel free to take a look at our WC-GT exhaust for the V10.

Amazing sound- great power with out a tune and a tune will help.

GIAC has developed software for our exhaust specifically so optimum tune on 91-93 and 100 octane is available.

No CEL lights- fully emissions compliant system.

Information on product can be found here.

We have done a few V8 and V10 APR tunes recently. We have also installed the Milltek exhaust on these before and the sound and quality is amazing! Attached is a before and after dyno video of the V10 we recently flashed with the APR software. The car picked up a nice bit of power and aside from the tune was bone stock.

The difference was night and day and the customer said the car feels fantastic. I hope this helps in your decision and let me know if you have any questions.

Wow, that is a nice power gain for just a flash.

Let me ask you this....so when you guys install the new APR ECUs, do you do any additional dyno tuning? Or is it just a direct swap of ECUs and the newly found power is what it is?

If it is just a direct swap with no additional tuning whatsoever, then it wouldn't make sense to send the car 1000s of miles away. BUT....if there is additional tuning to fine tune the ECU, then it is something to think about.

Any additional info would be appreciated. Thanks.

Isn't that dyno test a bit "tweaked"? How many R8s do you see driving like that?
Meaning: engine hood open. That alone may yield power gains.

If anything I think dyno would be lower than real driving since the those little fans do not compare to the air that would be going into the side vents at 100+mph. What I did find a little off was how much more power was showing with WCF? My dyno runs have always shown WCF to be lower? Here is my last one, what were the actual weather conditions?

The tune is a a flash into the existing ecu's in the car. The car was base lined then reflashed and ran on the dyno right after the tune. The car was ran a couple times before and after to back numbers up. Keep in mind to only look at the gains which are very respectable for a non turbo engine.

Usually the car would more than likely have better airflow on the street due to the correct air flow. The hood opened isnt going to effect anything the main intakes are on the sides of the car.

I have been hearing nothing but amazing things about the APR flash. 30 whp gains from a flash on an NA car is respectable.

Indeed the gains are very noticeable on the street/ track. APR will also be releasing their exhaust system soon for the v10. Its in the final testing phases
