If I was to keep a car for two years or so, it would probably be the R8. Will I keep it for that long? Maybe. I'd like to see how the new R8's fare. From what my sales guy told me, the V10's are dinosaur's and Audi might not be making them in the far future. If the V8 twin-turbos end up replacing the V10, I might be tempted to keep the bigger displacement R8. If the facelifted or new R8's are a drastic step, I might be tempted to trade mine in for a newer one. But that's all speculation. I've always been a fan of the LP-560, but I like the way the R8's drive better than the Lamborghini. It's a lot more driver friendly on a daily basis. Not that I drive the R8 on a daily basis but when I do drive it, I drive it for hours. I can't imagine doing that in the Lamborghini. The Magnetic Ride suspension in the R8 is great for NYC's ****ty roads.

I love the V-10 exhaust sound. Turbos make a different sound altogether. Nothing like hearing the turbos spooling through the exhaust. If I was looking for that, I would've just jumped into a Turbo S and called it a day. Problem with the Turbo was everytime I drove, people would egg me on to race them. Same type of cars just pull-up beside me to take pictures/videos of the car. I'm too old for people to be pulling up to me and trying to race. Although I love the way the boxer turbos pull, I'm content to just drive and enjoy the experience these days.

That is a beautiful color choice...your response is funny because that is why I am trading in my Turbo S on the R8.The exhaust sound of the turbos is not enough for me.I barely heard the turbo whining.I love the V-10 rumble..Huge difference..

I also agree with you on the fit and finish of the Audi compared to the Turbo. How about the stereo which is probably not to important to some but to me it makes a difference.

Also thinking about the R8 but would like to see what this 2013 facelift and perhaps dual clutch will offer.

You are right, they probably will offer the dual clutch in 2013 but by then my Porsche will be worth less to..so I have decided on the current R8.

I'm more worried they will go the way others and not offer in a stick. Have had mine for 2 1/2 years and put 17k miles on, Thats more than I have ever put on a car and also thats with it being a seasonal car. In the past I switched cars about every year, when I got the car itch this time I could not think of anything I wanted except an R8 V10. Decided that's basically just my car with more power and since i already had mods on I liked I added Supercharger, felt like I had a completely different car that has more power than the V10. Will probably get rid of during 2012 but only so I can get a new R8V10 Manual in case they do stop making
