Total Loss By Insurance

I am so pissed!

My Audi RS6 (Florida Car) got some damage from Hurricane Wilma and I just found out that State Farm is going to claim my car as total loss due to potential future problems with the car.

They are afraid that some moisture and debris may have got into some areas of the car it shouldnt have and there could be some major problems in the future.

THE CAR ONLY HAD 4,400 MILES ON IT AND I DID A COMPLETE DETAIL ON IT IN AUGUST!!!!

I'm so pissed, that car is irreplacable!

buy it from them and stuff the engine into a 4-series car like audi did for Bode Miller (don't ask me how, but I've been told this by numerous unrelated sources)

The bad part of it is that I wont get from my insurance what I should be getting for the car. Even with 4,400 miles they base it mostly on the year. So, I cant get into another car that would remotely resemble the looks and performance of this car for the same type of money I was in it for. If that makes any sense.

It will cost me alot more cash monthly to replace this vehicle. Thats what sucks about it.

So, instead I just bought a 2006 Audi A6 Sline for Florida. I guess it will do for 4 days a month.

They didn't pay you taxes on the car. Factor that in along with depreciation you probly took a hit of a few thousand. Find a near new one just like yours and tell State Farm to pay up. I've had good and bad experience with their claim agent. I've heard Geico is good but they're almost 2x cost since I have properties insured w State Farm for years.

If you really want it back, find the wholesale auction they're running it through, send a dealer to go and buy it on your behalf, and come out ahead.
