This ordinary looking Audi TT is no run-of-the mill coupe. It is in fact the upcoming high-performance RS version undergoing testing. Look closely and you’ll see huge cross-drilled brake discs with RS labelled callipers and a hidden electronic rear-spoiler covered with a strip of carbon-fiber.

Audi is actually developing two separate performance models, the first is the top end TT-RS that’s expected to feature a 2.5L five-cylinder turbo developing over 350hp. Positioned below this car, but above the 3.2L V6 TT will be the TT-S equipped with the TFSI 2.0L unit from the S3 hatch. Expect power levels to be close to 280hp. Both cars will utilize either a conventional six-speed or S-Tronic dual-clutch transmission driving all four wheels.

Purchased one in 2001 and loved the design. The fit, finish and quality was top notch. Sold it within months, the TT needed more room and most important more power. With the curb weight it was a slug.

Hopefully this RS will be the one.

yes if they fix the rear it's sure to be an awesome ride. the hp is amazing for a ride like this

Thats me with the RS4 Cab.....at the Audi Center in Ingolstadt right before we went on the factory tour. That car would be a blast to have here in the states. 4thirty, i think the new body TT should be a hit, it looks more manly then the previous model..pics from the airport

 

I would love an RS TT here. I have seen a few of the mkII TT's in and around London and they are a hige improvement over the mkI's.
