May be getting an S6 any input?
i drove it a few weeks back. Very fun car, but not particularly smooth riding. Personally, it was a bit bone-jarring for a family sedan. It wouldn't bother me, but be cautious for the wife.
It's not a fun 0-60 car like the E55 or M5, but it shines at higher speeds and the engine sounds awesome over 3000 RPM.

Thanks for your input. She currently drives a 06 BMW 525 and it is very boring to me. We go for drives on the weekends and since I modded my 996 exhaust, turbos, ECU, etc. she thinks the car is too loud and snaps her neck LOL. I thought this car may be an option.
I am not sure I'd agree with this statement...it's slower than the comparable BMW & MB, but it's certainly not slow.
FWIW, I also have an E55, and performance wise the E55 is a sure winner. However, I love the interior layout, technology, and price point of the S6 much more. Be forwarned, they do not lease very well due to low residuals.

Trojanman thanks for your input. I agree I didn't find it slow. It's fast enough for her and wont put me to sleep when I am driving it. We will be picking the car up tomorrow... I think. We won't be leasing but thanks for the heads up. Do you feel this car will hold up well?
I was talking about my wifes current car BMW 525 that puts me to sleep, meaning that I don't think the S6 would. I drove the S6 for an hour or so on some nice mountain roads in Charlottesville, VA and really liked it.
