Hi Lou,

Sorry I missed your original thread.

I traded my 02 turbo in last month, and no longer need my (excellent used) factory snow wheel/tire package.

As you have discovered, and as I also learned, the 18' OEM hollow turbo twists do not work with snows because the rears are 11' wide, and the available, and factory recommened snow tires need 10" wheels. The hollow twists do not come in a 10" width. The perfect fit for the rears, with no spacers and the right offset, is the factory 10 x 18 (47et) solid spoke turbo twist. From the outside the solid spoke wheel looks the same as the hollow wheel, and is available through your dealer.

If you are interested in an excellent, used package. Mine includes: 2 each 8"x18" (50et) and 10"x18" (47et) OEM factory 996 Turbo solid spoke alloys, with 2 each 225/40VR18 and 265/35VR18 Dunlop SP Winter M2 snow tires. Mounted and balanced and ready to bolt on. Asking $1600.

This package rocks! I looked forward to the snow and especially the slushy wet stuff. I loved driving the TT in the wet more than the dry. I only drive one car at a time (it's a Zen thing!), and the 966TT was the perfect 4 season vehicle. Enjoy!

Yeah it sucks big time. What kind of ******* am I, I live in Chicago and have a TT Cab and a Z8!! I actually plan on sending every other weekend and at least 2-3 straight weeks in Miami in Decemebr-January. Hell, I'm going there Tuesday Nov 23rd for 6 days. I just need to buy a place down there now so I can escape the Chicago winters and have an appreciating asset at the same time
