Approximately 3500 miles on it. I am the second owner. Pink slip in hand.
Previous owner drove it a few times on the track, so almost all street miles.
Car is in excellent cosmetic and operational condition.
Asking $55,000 OBO.
Serious buyers only please. Passenger rides only to serious and qualified buyers.
I will only sell the car to a buyer who has previous experience driving very high performance cars.
Car is located in Los Altos, California.
This car drives like nothing else that is street legal and has four wheels.
If you are not familiar with the car, here's the link to the top gear episode that "put the car on the map" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WaWoo82zNUA

Ariel Atom
As Los Gatos is close enough to Santa Cruz and I live in Santa Cruz...where can the car be viewed? Serious = was thinking of ordering an AA fairly soon and this, certainly as the car is already CA registered, might work. Experience = racing license since '07.

MotoRolla250 - There are two common issues with the exhaust on all of the atom2's:
1- Flexcoupler blow-out. The original design had a flex coupler that would eventually fail. This generally caused cosmetic damage near the license plate.
2- High exhaust heat. This eventually leads to burning up the exhaust baffle material which could either block the exhaust or just result in a really loud exhaust
Both of these are addressed with the fortress header and exhaust on this car. The exhaust is a resonant design (no baffle material) and the header piping eliminates the flex pipe. The black coating is jet hot 2000 - so will not discolor or peel.

Yes they are. Actually, this exhaust system is pretty neat. The supertraps are held on by v-band clamps (one bold release) and the muffler is also connected with a v-band clamp to the exhaust pipe. It would be easy to swap any of the pieces of the system in case someone preferred a stainless steel exhaust, for example. Also, supposedly this system will not interferer with mounting a stock atom wing (if that was to your taste) - I have not tried that myself.
