I'm considering the sale of my '01 996tt to make room for something else. I've owned the car for about 4 years and 45k miles. It has been very reliable. It is very clean inside and out. It has been very well taken care of and well maintained. It currently has 95,000 miles, mostly fwy (can be verified via Durametric operating hours).

The car has the following parts/mods:
-Custom carbon fiber front bumper with factory GT2 front lip
-smoked turn signals
-Euro rear bumper (no bumperrettes)
-Ruf Carbon rear spoiler
-Gemballa Speedline 18" wheels
-H&R lowering springs
-Ruf floor mats
-painted center console
-iPod aux input
-Bose 997 rear subwoofer
-Factory 997 shifter
-GIAC 1bar flash for CA 91 octane (no issues passing smog)
-Europipe Stage 2 Quiet exhaust
-VW/Audi 710N diverter valves
-GT2 clutch slave & master with unknown clutch (clutch does not slip)

The car has none of the typical 996tt issues; no 2nd gear pop-out, no leaky front radiators, no leaky coolant tank, no leaky spoiler hydraulics, no clunking up front, no door dings, no tears in the seats. The rear spoiler is slow to come down on the right side when ambient temps are below 45*F due to the system being filled with a thicker fluid to prevent leaks. The may cause a Spoiler Malfuntion light the next time it goes up. The rear spoiler works normal in temps above 50*F. Duramtric does show overrevs but they are false overrevs due to the flash. The car has never been mis-shifted under my ownership.

Recent services includes:
-motor oil and filter change with Redline oil
-spark plug and coil pack change
-Fuel filter change
-brake fluid flush
-front drop links replaced
-front cv boots replaced
-new rear tires
-driveshaft replaced with low-mile driveshaft


The car is located in Rancho Cucamonga CA. Price is $37,900 OBRO. Comes with owner's manual with radio code, service records, service manuals, 1 set of keys. May consider trade plus cash for an Aston Martin V8 Vantage.

I found my next car, I need to sell this one. I'm taking reasonable offers.

 

Some people have expressed concern with the mileage and that's understandable. The condition of this car really needs to be seen in person to be appreciated. Therefore PPIs and/or test drives are more than welcome. The car really is in better condition than many cars with lower miles.

Also, if anyone wants hi res pics of any area, let me know.

Lastly, if financing is an issue, a local exotic car dealer has offered to broker the deal and get the buyer financed for a small fee. The fee can be negotiated into the price of the car.

 

Color is perfect and I'm glad to see this car was driven and appreciated! I plan to do the same once I sell my V and find one of these on the east coast
