GHL mufflers from 00 C2 For sale

Selling my GHL (loud version although they are not that loud) mufflers. They are only a couple of months old and are from a 00 C2. will fit at least 99-01 but I don't know what else they will fit.
They are on ebay right now but may be we can work something out.
Thanks
Andrew

Mufflers

Hi there, I am blocked from ebay at work. But I can post the link later tonight.
Otherwise you should be able to find it by searching for GHL and 996 or 911 or mufflers
thanks!

Good news is the GHL Louds fit ALL non-turbo 996's with the 3.4 or 3.6L engines.

The bad news is that I had them on a 3.6L 996 and quickly took advantage of their no-questions-asked return policy. Nasty sound is all I can say. PSE's on their now. I think it's something with the VarioCam Plus of the 3.6's that made it sound so bad, but since I didn't have a 3.4 to compare it to, I don't know.

That's an agressive Buy It Now price based on what people on Renntech.org are getting them for new. Good luck.

First of all, the sound of the GHLs on 3.4 liter engines in my opinion is not all that much different than the fabspeeds.

I would describe the GHLs as more quiet in the lower rpms and perhaps more throaty in the higher rpms than the fabspeeds. There is no droning even in the "loud" version. A nice clean sound.

The fabspeeds have a deeper growl noticeable at a lower rpm, but have less scream at high rpms. The fabspeeds drone a little at highway speed.

Either way the high end of the ghls sounds better in my opinion and is in no way nasty or a bad sound. If I could have a low end growl of the fabspeeds and the high end of the ghl's I think I would be happiest.

Now the price I don't know where people are getting these deals from. I saw a long time ago there were one time discounts with a pretty nice price, but this was a downtime special which I haven't seen since. Otherwise GHL gives 10% of for rennlist members making the new price around 900 bucks + shipping with their discount.
My buy it now was 200 off and included shipping and the mufflers are only a couple of months old with less than 1000 miles on them.
Plus my actual auction reserve is less.

I'm getting quite the impression that you like to provide more than your 2 cents in everyones business. Like the body kit for example. Sure, I am working on getting the rest of it, but sometimes these things take time, and to tell you the truth I don't mind the look in the lowered state the way it is now. But the whole point is that I was trying to help someone resolve the issue between 19" rims and eibach springs. That was it.
At least one thing I can say is that at least you are consistant in your a-hole remarks.

In case someone can get really good deals on these I dropped the price again.
And this includes shipping which I believe GHL will charge almost 50 bucks for.

I did not make an a-hole remark.

But here's an a-hole remark for you: That exhaust can be had new for $700 by just asking for that price. And that exhaust is the worst sounding exhaust of all of them. Farty was the best description of an honest short-term owner. Why in the world do you think you are replacing it with something else???

The exhaust doesn't reduce weight or increase HP. So if it doesn't sound good then exactly why would anyone buy it??? You will be lucky to get $200 for it from some sucker.

And sorry if you don't like the truth being told on the Internet, but that's what this forum is for...

Good luck a-hole!

whatever

Whatever buddy. I'm not gonna get into a big pissing contest on this website.
If anyone searches the archives for exhaust or mufflers they will find plenty of people with GHLs who are very happy with them.
I chose the fabspeeds not because I wanted a louder exhaust period. If I were a buyer who wanted something sporty but without droning or excessively loud, then the GHL would fit the boat much better. And on a 3.4 they don't have any "farty" sound. Can't speak for the 3.6

For the good of everyone would you please post the source of where you can buy brand new GHL mufflers for 700 please?

Heck if you do another search for your posts you'll quickly find another little exchange that led someonelse to repond with "Wow....let me be CLEAR...NOT APOLOGIZING FOR YOUR INCORRECT BS STATEMENT.....If you let a dealer take $5K off a trade in because of a repainted bumper, they are scam artists...and thats BS....."

Don't know what I'd find if I'd look further, but I don't really need to.
Cheers

Direct from GHL.

Yea, GHL does sound like a boat exhaust come to think of it. I thought it sounded more like an 80's S-10 pickup with an exhaust leak.

No pissing contests???

Keep digging on the posts. Futile. I offer a lot of useful info in my posts. In that post, I told the guy it's ok to repaint your front bumper because the dealer can't pull out a paint meter and try to take 5K off his trade-in for paint work. It's true. Ask me how I know? And then see the other posts from others with first-hand experience confirming that dealers will take off for paint work. The guy you quoted attacked my message saying that was BS. Guess what? It's not BS. Yes, it's not a friendly tactic by dealers and in that sense it's BS, but then not really. Why would you pay the same for a car with paint work when there are those without? And why wouldn't a dealer try to pay less for a trade-in? It's business. Just a fact of life. So you're not getting anywhere by posting clips of messages taken out of context.

Just cut your losses and sell the exhaust for scrap.

And are you the one with that hideous wing???
