Up for sale is my 2001 Porsche C2 Cabriolet. I purchased this car in Jan of 2011 and have spent the past few years building it up into my dream car. Most of the common 996 problems have been taken care of including the IMS bearing and RMS. I have spent many dollars doing all of the maintenance to make this car as reliable as possible. There are no issues with it! I have the factory hard top with stand to go with the car. Please see the list below for all of the upgrades, maintenance, and replaced parts that have been done in the past two years. I have a service records file that added up to $23,941.12 in total receipts for all of the work done.
Why am I selling… go figure I just finished all of the work I needed to do and just received a new role at work that will allow me to upgrade to a newer model. I thought long and hard about this since my current car has so much work into it but I am excited about the new 991. The dealer will of course not give me much as a trade-in so I am selling it privately. My loss is someone’s gain… and then some. Open to offers and prefer she go to a good home = Porsche enthusiasts

Not offense but maintenance is part of ownership and its expected that you would have done maintenance and replaced broken parts, you can't expect to charge a premium just because you've done it. Mods are a different matter. But even then you generally don't get much of a return in them.

Very true... but what I did was a little above and beyond. I researched all of the weak areas for a 996 and proactively addressed them. Some of the parts I replaced were not regular maintenance but done to make the car as reliable as possible. My pricing is not too far off from market value and I am not really trying to get anything on the mods done... but figure a buyer would appreciate the time and money spent to address all of the problem areas knowing the car is ready to go with nothing needed for the foreseeable future. Now that is something that is not common for 12 year old 996's.
