FS: 1998 Carrera S

The last year of the ultimate air-cooled Porsches: 1998 Carrera S

I bought the car in June of 2001 and it has been one helluva car, but I have a new M5 on order, so this one must go! She's my baby and want her to go to a good home. She's loaded with all the most sought after modifications, so you buy this one and you're done!

49,700 miles

Factory installed Turbo S aerokit
Cashmere interior with black deviated carpets
Hardback sport seats
CDR-210 in dash CD player
Hi-Fi sound package with DSP
Motorsound airbox
Litronic xenon headlights

New front PZero tires
Rear PZeros with 75% remaining
New rotors

I am a non-smoker and have kept meticulous service records. Serviced by well known race mechanic Mike Callas of Rennsport in Sealy.

The car has always been garaged.

All modifications on this car are of the highest quality and have been installed by a top rated shop just outside the Houston area.

Modifications:

Bilstein PSS-9 coilovers
Factory RS sway bars
Factory Cup strut brace
Fabspeed Maxflo exhaust
Factory RS motor mounts
Custom close-ratio gearbox built by Brian Copans - approximately 500 miles
Factory RS (LWF) Lightweight flywheel and clutch
Quaife (LSD) Limited Slip Differential
Factory Turbo S wheels
Gert's Front Protection Bar
TechArt pedal set
Factory RS package box
Bumperette-less front and rear bumpers with Euro lenses

$50,000

More pictures available on request.

Matt, I'll give you a free BUMP, Your car is beautiful but it is about $10,000.00 to high on the Retail side of www.kbb.com. Good Luck though Bro. with your sell. This was to help you in your bumping efforts.

The 98 S's 993 are priced fairly in the $45 to $54k range. KBB knows nothing about how soughtafter these cars are. You are wrong in saying that he is $10k off by just doing a kbb search. Seems like an ok deal to me. IMO (and many others) these cars are worth much more than any non TT or C4S 996. Do some reaserch son.

^ O.K. Dad, Everything is for sale at what the market will bear. I can see by your Avatar that your opinion is truly objective. By what means does the average buyer use to place valuations on automobiles? Hmmmm. maybe KBB, Edmunds, cars.com autos.com) not necessarily what the market will bear. If It's that good of a deal buy it then SON!!!!

I am actually not in the market for another 993. Anybody that was, and knows what they are talking about (not sure if you are or do) would see the value here. The last year of production air cooled "S" cars bring more $ than KBB, Edmunds or Cars.com will tell you. Check Autotrader.com, Excellence and Panorama ads etc as these cars are truly rare before you go busting somebody's ***** about their price being $10k off.

This car looks amazingly kept and upgraded. I'm sure $50k is on the high side of C2S but if someone is in the market of one, it's about as good as it gets. I'm tempted.... Too bad I have a 996 already. Oh man!

KBB is a joke when it comes to pricing all wide body 993's. In most cases they are 10k under actual selling prices. I think this C2S is priced correctly with all the mods. Good Luck
