I considered an '10 m3 before getting my c4s in July of '10. The dealer said: "we don't discount", the sticker showed a gas guzzlers charge + $1,500, and they won't let me push they're on site model . . . so I have enjoyed every single mile of my 911, and the value of the 'no discount' m3 is falling to the center of the earth.
I absolutely love the m3. I just got into a BMW 550i lease for a steal ($680 a month after taxes - unreal) and am ready to turn the asset into cash....
Obviously having a hard time doing that - I would have thought there would have been a larger market at this price point.
Can I suggest something to help with your sale ?
Take the m3 out the garage, clean out all your stuff; wash and vacuum, maybe a wax job (or take it to get detailed for $200).
THEN make at least 30 photos. Look at this link and mimic the photos and the framing of each.

The car doesn't look desirable in anyway dude
You'll be surprised how presentation can help.
