Post what your criteria are to narrow it down, and specify race or street.

Here are a couple good reference sites to find each:

Street: miata.net

Race: specmiata.com

Also for street:

Cars.com, autotrader.com, ebay

Fun cars, but all your buddies will think you're ghey.

Second gen miata are pretty good. Not exactly a very safe car which is what keeps me away from it. Otherwise, it's a fun car. With a roll bar and some interior and wheel upgrades, it can be a very fun ride that should serve you well as a commuter / autocross machine that is inexpensive.

It is a really fun car to drive, but if you're tall it’s really uncomfortable. You'll feel like donkykong driving a little go-kart
I know because I rocked my gfs little red miata this weekend in Vegas.

Thanks for the sites.
My only criteria is that I want a Miata that I can use as a cheap, reliable daily driver. Don't care about much else.
But the gay part does worry me a bit.

Safety isn't that important since it'll be used for local commute (it'll see the highway rarely, if ever). I just need to get to school and back.
And I need a car that I can have fun with while driving. Can't afford a Porsche, so I'll get a Miata, since it's the closest thing to a Porsche.

I've reached 6' 2" and still am slowly growing (16 yrs old). Hopefully I'll fit. If not, I don't know what to get. There are very few cheap, reliable, lightweight, rwd cars out there.

These cars are NOT gay. They are a blast to drive, cheap, and bulletproof. Girls love em, too. Add a roll bar and springs with some bigger wheels and they look great. Here's mine and I love it.

Do you think I'd fit in it, height-wise?

I'm 6'2 and 170, I had one cuz we took it in super cheap and I wanted something very cheap to teach someone how to drive stick. I put practically nothing into it and it ran awesome. Then I bought my Boxster and holy**** what a difference, but if you want a good/cheap fun car to beat up, go for it!!!

Get the 1st generation Miata (1990-1997) as it actually has more leg room than the 99+ models. It's also cheaper, although the 2nd gens are dropping in price. The 90-93 have a 1.6 liter and everything later has 1.8L. Everything you would ever want to know about Miatas can be found on www.miata.net.

It is a great car to drive just as-is. I had a 1996 M-edition. I started modifying it (including a custom turbocharger system) and truly created a beast. It dyno'd 274 rwhp and weighed 2400 lbs. That's 911 Turbo power to weight ratio. Definitely not a girly car!

Does the miata interior and top rattle? I had an RX7 and had to fix all the rattles. Onced fixed, it was pretty solid.

Oh, c'mon Damon...they're a little ghey, ya gotta admit....

Hey, I've had two. Fortunately, I'm pretty secure with my manhood.

(The funny part is passing serious hardware on the race track with the little "chick car". I took my SpecM to a PCA TT weekend at Willow Springs a couple yrs ago, and passed so many cars, guys were asking me if it was a v8 in the paddock! )

I'm guessing you paid more for the turbo than for the car itself?
