2003 Porsche 996 GT2

Year: 2003
Make: Porsche
Model: 911
Price: $92000
Mileage: 32000
Color: Silver
Private or Dealer Listing: Private Listing
Location (State): CA
Transmission: Manual
Drivetrain: Rear Wheel Drive

This 2003 Porsche GT2 has been driven only 32,000 miles and is in outstanding cosmetic and mechanical condition. As you know, the GT2 was the fastest street legal car produced by Porsche in 2003 and was also one of the rarest 911s ever with only 90 sold in the US that year. This example is completely stock other than the Champion wheels, clear film paint protection and light window tint. Original options include aluminum colored instrument dials, Porsche crest embossed in headrests, colored wheel caps and cruise control. The car has just completed a full 30,000 mile service this week and every little detail on the car has been taken care of. It needs absolutely nothing and looks like a virtually new car despite being 13 years old. It has a clean title but the previous owner did have a parking lot accident 5 years ago so it has had some paint work. The car drives beautifully and has stunning performance. If you are looking for a heavily modified race car this is not it. If you are looking for a trailer queen this is not it. If, like me, you enjoy the full spectrum of Porsche driving from cross country trips to PCA track days this is a fantastic car to drive and enjoy.

Seems like a pretty good deal depending on how severe the accident was. Also, I would replace that front lip, it looks a bit beat up. GLWS!

Thanks, I appreciate your comments. Since the photos were taken a month ago I have, as you suggested, replaced the front spoiler and had the wheels refinished so it now looks to be in virtually new condition. Walt

Thanks for your question. The accident was during a previous owner's time. It was described to me as a "parking lot incident" that required replacement of the driver's side rear fender, rocker panel and control arms. I had a PPI done at the local Porsche dealership before I purchased the car and they said that all of the repairs were done correctly. When I look at the car I personally can not see that there has been any paint work but a professional can tell. Let me know if you have any other questions.

Walt,
Does the incident show up if you run a carfax?

Thank you

It does show up on the Carfax but not on the Autocheck where it gets a score of 95.

Thanks. Here are some updated photos showing the new OEM Porsche front spoiler and professionally refinished Champion wheels. Let me know if there are any other questions.

An eagle eyed enthusiast has pointed out that the wheels are forged Kinesis, not Champion.

Price drop to $94,000. This car is mechanically perfect and cosmetically beautiful. It needs nothing. This is the car for someone who wants a 996 GT2 that they won't be afraid to drive. An added bonus; free OEM Tequipment stainless steel roll bar not yet installed.

Can you get records from the previous owner regarding who did the repair and the invoice of said repair depicting what was done? This would really help. If control arms were replaced that would indicate quite a bit more than a parking lot fender bender. Also, do you have more pictures of the drivers side? In the 4th picture in post #1, it appears that the drivers side door is a different shade of silver. May be just the picture however. I will be at the Miller Club race Sep 15-18. If you still have it, I'd love to look at it pending the information regarding the accident.

Thx...

Thanks for your questions. Additional pictures of the driver side of the car are attached as requested. I can not detect any color difference on the car but you should determine that for yourself.
Unfortunately the prior owner (who I never met since the sale was conducted through a consignment dealership) did not provide any photos or records. I was told that the accident was in a parking lot and the repairs cost $9000. I presumed that it was hit in the drivers rear wheel area which would account for replacement wheels and control arms. I did not base my purchase decision on what was said to me by the seller but rather on my own inspection of the car and on a full PPI that I had performed at the local Porsche dealership. The car was in great shape, all repairs done and I had it serviced then and all little details taken care of. As I noted in the original post the car had another full service this month with all little details taken care of and is as close to perfect as you can get with a 13 year old car with 30,000 miles.
I am happy to show you the car but it is located at my vacation home in the San Francisco bay area, not in Utah. Have fun at Miller, I will be there the following weekend.
