FS: 2001 996 Turbo

OK...so here is the deal. I toyed with selling my Turbo a few months ago but got cold feet and decided to keep it. Unfortunately the cosmos didn't agree. Last week I found out I have cancer and while I'm fully confident of a fast and complete recovery I will be out of work for a pretty decent amount of time through treatment. No work and big medical bills means the porsche has to go...as much as it pains me. So here I am posting it again.

Its a very clean and beautiful car...with no paint or accident history and not an abused ebay rat. If you are looking for one, you should seriously consider this one as not only will you be getting a very sweet car at an great value but you will be helping a fellow porche guy through a terribly difficult time.

here are the car's details:

2001 Porsche 911 Twin Turbo 996

22k Original Miles

Always garaged, and in meticulous condition.

Special Order Midnight Blue Color, with Black Supple Leather interior with aluminum and carbon trim.

I am the 2nd Owner. I Bought in November of 2002 with 3k miles on it from original dealer:

Inskip Autocenter, 1517 Bald Hill Road Warwick RI 02888
They have been the sole dealer to service it and have all records. Car has been trouble free and runs perfectly. It needs nothing. I just put in fresh plugs, w/ 20K mile service, and new battery last October.

Factory Options Include:

059 Delete Front Bumperettes $0.00
C02 U.S. Standard Emissions $0.00
BASE Porsche Base Model $111,000.00

Total Original Cost of Mods $19,575.00

Grand Total Original Cost $143,710.00

Asking $75,000 with the Stock wheels and stock exhaust. Aftermarket HRE wheels and exhaust can be further negotiated if desired. I can also remove or add any other parts as desired with appropriate price adjustment (such as Pss9s, bluetooth, etc...).

Car is located in Boston MA

Please DO NOT low ball me with absurd offers based on ebay and wholesale auction reports. If I wanted to wholesale it I would. I'm bummed enough about this whole situation and I will just ignore you.

And I'm sorry but I will not part out the mods until the car sells 1st...

Thanks
Dave w

Damn, that is a beautiful car. Best of luck with your recovery. Like iLLM3 said, the best thing you can do is maintain a positive outlook. Your own willpower can be the greatest medicine of all.

Thanks everyone for your support and kind words. The community and comradarie around here never stops amazing me. I'm young and otherwise very healthy and the mass is quite small so I am very confident it will be all fine in short time, even if I am porscheless for a period of time...

for those who asked there are plenty more pictures here:

There are a ton of pics at the link I posted....I can take specific ones of specific things if anybody wants them.

On a 1-10 scale scale I'd say its just shy of showroom at a 9. It never been damaged or dinged or bumped or scraped in any way. But with 20k miles it has some signs of use. A small scuff in the 3m clear on the nose, for example and there is one verticle scratch on the rear bumper just above the license plate that I have lived with but which could easliy be touched and buffed. otherwise its pretty flawless. The interior is like new throughout except the driver seat leather is just starting to break in.

Its never seen any track time. I have a dedicated track car for that.

The factory warranty has expired. But my dealer offered to CPO it for me last time it was serviced...I may be able to still arrange this at buyers cost if wanted. Its a late production 01, so while it lacks a glove box it has all the other newer features like hollow spokes, bumper features, etc...

thanks
dave

Dave,

You are also in my prayers.

I too can vouch for the condition of the car - the color is beautiful and it's the most brilliant I have seen from 2001....just a real head turner....plus maintained to the highest standards
