Thanks for viewing,
Up for sale is my 2001 BMW M5 in Royal Red on Black Extended Heritage leather. Current odometer reads 76,370. Below is a breakdown of the VIN showing factory options, as well as production numbers showing this car to be 1 of 10 produced. CarFax report reflects two long term owners, myself and another gentleman of almost 15 years. Overall I would rate the car: Interior 9.7/10, Exterior 9.2/10.
- 100% Original Paint
- Rust Free Arizona / Florida car
- Garage Kept
- Unmolested & Highly Pampered
I purchased the car out of Arizona where it lived its life prior to being shipped in an enclosed semi to Florida via Passport Transport. Since my ownership I have meticulously maintained and detailed the car. It immediately got a full paint correction and ceramic coat upon arrival. Since my 3.5 years of ownership I have replaced any imperfect interior piece or trim to ensure this car is 100% flawless. It gets underbody, wheel wells, suspension detailed, every 2-3 months in addition to standard upkeep and detailing. The car sits in my garage with a battery tender under a form-fit fleece soft cover, and started weekly. Occasional Sunday driver. In my ownership, has never seen rain.
In regards to maintenance, it has been dealer serviced. Prior to my ownership, the gentleman (owner 2 / long term) took the car to BMW and had the dealer go through it in its entirety. As you can see on the CarFax – an engine out carbon service was performed at 68,800 miles per his request. To my knowledge, this is well north of $10,000 to have it done - reflecting a high attention to detail and care prior to my ownership. I acquired the car at 72,000 miles. Since my ownership, (4500~ miles in 3.5 years) I have replaced the original clutch with a new OEM one, other than that, just regular yearly oil changes every April. In May 2017, I dropped the car off at VAC Motorsports to have the OEM Style 65’s restored, and a full systems check. I received the car back with a clean bill of health – zero issues or even leaks.
8/8/13 68,732 miles – BMW Dealership maintenance inspection / Carbon Service
8/18/15 68,803 miles – BMW Dealership maintenance inspection
10/7/16 72,221 miles – BMW Independent shop replaced clutch / inspection
5/12/17 74,488 miles – VAC Motorsports refinished wheels and performed a complete car check
7/26/17 74,923 miles – BMW Dealership performed an alignment / recall check / inspection
Aftermarket Additions:
BC Forged LE10 / Toyo R888 - $4900 (Less than 1000 miles)
StopTech BBK, 355mm / 345mm, Zinc Slotted - $5800 (Less than 1000 miles)
Supersprint Exhaust - $2500 (Less than 1000 miles)
BC Coilovers - $1000 (Less than 2000 miles)
New OEM:
F&R Windshield Gaskets
Cowl Panel
Kidney Grills
Clutch
L/R Outer Windshield Cowl Cover
Front L/R Door Sills
Front L/R Door Sill Plates
Front L/R Door Seals
Trunk Struts
Rear L/R Door Sills
Rear L/R Grab Handles
As you can see, I have a very high attention to detail / approach to keeping this car as pristine as possible. No expense spared in the upkeep or additions to get it to this point. The photos will show how well it has been preserved throughout its lifetime. I have all the original parts available should the new owner decide to return to stock, minus exhaust.
If you have any additional questions, please feel free to ask.
Thank you,

I love E39 M5s - even more so in red and white. GLWS! I'd consider this if I didn't currently have too many cars. (no, I wont )

Thank you! As much as I love this car, it’s time for something new. I’ve always been a diehard BMW enthusiast, however decided to sell off my collection to build a SC300. I’ve been wanting to do one for 16 years now and figured this is the time.
If you know of a mint, low mileage 97-00 for sale let me know!
