why so cheap? one of the shocks is bad. you will have to get the bad shock replaced. the car would swerve slightly in the back after hitting a bump or pitching the wheel sharply.

Is the shock covered under warranty? What would the final price be with the shock replacement?

 

i didn't buy the shocks originally so assume no warranty.

you can try contacting JIC to see how much they would charge to fix the shock. it couldn't be *that* much.

do these ride really harsh? i am in the research process right now. i talked to ruf and they claim their springs are the only ones to go with. they claim all the other are extremly harsh...so, how did these ride?

 

I have the 9kg/12kb combo, and it's a great combo. It's a little stiff, and you may find it "harsh" if you're used to PSS9's, but it really makes the car feel tight. With my PSS9's at the stiffest setting, the car still felt very wallowy.

This is a great deal!!! A brand new set is not far from $3K, so even if you have to buy one new shock (with no spring), you're still way ahead!!! Someone should really jump on these. It's the only viable alternative on the way to Moton's ($$$$$$)!!!

 

How old is this system....meaning when was it originally installed and from whom did you originally buy it from?

they came w/ the car - screen-name stephenTi was the previous owner. the shocks have approx 5k miles on them over a 1-2 year period.

i may take them to the suspension shop to get the shock fixed but then the price will (obviously) go up.

you may have to wait for a reply as chuck is in the midst of a 21 day european vacation where he's touring 42 stars worth of notable restaurants.
