2004 Gt3 Rs
Hey everyone, my friend's 997 GT3 RS is going to be put into production soon so his 996 GT3 is up for sale. It is a VERY special car, and perhaps the most meticulous car I have ever seen. The car is perfect in every respect. Owned by a well respected enthusiast and part of a fantastic collection.

2004 996 Porsche GT3 “RS”
This is the only car I am aware of in the USA order as a GT3 “RS” from the factory. It was ordered from Foreign cars Europa in Greensboro North Carolina and simultaneously shipped with RS parts shipped in a crate from Porsche Germany. The car was converted at delivery and sold as is. It is however unique in that it is truly a US version car titled as a GT3 and covered under factory warrant until May 2008 unlike federalized cars which are not covered under the US warranty. The conversion/installations were done at well known RPM Sports Cars in Houston Texas. The roll cage was painted and custom leather padding was added. The carpets were custom done to fit the rollcage , door panels ,steering wheel and the sun visors were also custom done. It is one of five cars ordered in custom color Polar Silver. The car has 3m clear protection installed in all the critical areas. The car has been a show car for its entire life and has won many awards including first place in category at the 2006 Philadelphia SEMA show. The only reason I am selling the car is that I have a July build date for a 997 GT3RS. Considering the considerable difference in price between this 4000 mile example and a 997 GT3 RS it represents an incredible value for the new buyer. Obviously the car has never been autocrossed or tracked. It is in absolute showroom and concourse condition as you can see. Feel free to contact me at turbos7903@yahoo.com or 302-463-4516 Thanks for your consideration. Jon in Delaware

well its not. It is a very nicley done RS replica that no expense was spared to duplicate an RS.
i think the "rs" in the title explains that as I am sure the seller is not trying to imply it is an authentic 996 gt3Rs.
of course i have bean (i was hanging with canadian friends today, sorry)
wrong many times in my assumptions...
I think there is a little more to a 04 RS then then a roll cage, mirrors, stickers and wing...check out "thusly" RS clone..now that's as close to the real thing as you can get.
I don't know..it's just hard to see a regular GT3 as an RS...if it was so easy why not get a 997 GT3 and call it a RS with some stickers and a carbon wing.

I dont think I have ever seen a car quite as unique or beautiful. This car is really a gem.
And of course the owner knows its not a real RS, but as far as Im concerned, aside from the VIN, it is one...the car has been prepared so amazingly...

I'll have the asking price shortly. In short, it's an absolutely amazing car that is very special-- the parts used are Porsche parts and zero expenses were spared. Again, clean is an understatement.
