you are correct. I will need to remove the rear hat and mount them onto the rears, then on the front use spacers to push out these hats or get custom front hats made, my front hats are 10 bobbins vs. 12 bobbins on these. Also caliper spacer will need to be used for a 15mm discplacement. These will fit but they are not direct plug and play for sure...

Not 100% sure. I believe the 2005 996TTS came with gen 1's and are 350mm up front and not 380's.

As a reminder to all, these are off my 2009 997 Turbo. I'm the original owner and the rotors were taken off my car last August (2010) with 7,200 miles on the vehicle.

Front hats have 12 t-bobbins and the rears have 10 (the number of holes that are used to bolt the rotors to the hats).

If you want to mount them on a car that came with 350's up front you will need a Brembo caliper bracket/spacer and longer mounting bolts.

997TT-GT2 PCCB front disks are 380mm diameter...they simply wont fit to any 996TT or GT2 18inch wheel...
996TT or GT2 PCCB front disks are 350mm...

finally these rotors are sold?

^^^^ are you absolutely posive about that? I've heard a 380 mm will fit my 996 GT2 with the caliper being spaced up using a bracket from Brembo around 15mm and still using the factory 996 GT2 wheels...

Dunno what's going on here Skandalis but if you are in line for these you should have pulled the trigger and remmitted payment by now. I am checking on viability on my end and have discussed with VID997 about the details. If they are a feasible option for me based on fitment, cost to get these to work, and what my tech says about my current rotors...then we'll go from there...

Hi Sunir,
I'm the one who baught the rotors from VID997 and don't need them anymore? Plan changed.
They rotors fit my 05 997 S launch edition with a 15mm custom made spacer in my 19" wheels. The 1mm offset difference with my 350mm original rotor was not a problem.
So, the rotors are back on sale. Any one interested?
Thanks

^^^ I dunno if fitment will be an issue or what? plus I don't drive the car that much at the moment... let me know if they can fit without any issue or needing anything on a 996GT2 with stock 996GT2 wheels.

Do you have a 15mm gap between the rim and the calliper?
The GT3 Cup run on 380mm rotor up front with 18" wheels? The wheels are 3-Pieces BBS centre lock 9.5J x 18.

http://www.bigbrakes4u.co.uk/brembo-...prod_2889.html

Brembo is saying that you'll have put after market wheel with their 380mm?

http://www.stoptech.com/technical-su...ment-templates

Same thing!

This guy seems to have installed 380mm Brembo rotor on stock GT2 996 wheels? Verify with him.

Hope this will help you project.
Thanks

Hi Johnny,
The rear rotors 350mm with bolts but without hats. The front rotors 380mm with hats and P50 green pads.
And the hole thing extremely well packaged.
You'll have to pay the shipping. Shipping did cost me 150$ or 300$ between California and Québec.

As for price I was thinking 5500$. They cost me 6200$ or 6800$??

Let me know!

I can't send PM since I only have 12 posts, sorry, I'll get to 15 soon.

Looked thru the links you gave, loks like I will either have to bump to 19" wheels or use some sort of spacer or adapter... the last link was a 996 turbo I think he just put on a Brembo kit made for that car, the GT2 offsets and spacings are different.

Are you getting brake fade at the track with the stock 350mm brakes? Is that why you wanna go to larger rotors? Improve your cooling. I don't know anyone that has issues with the 350mm/6 pot calipers with good cooling and fresh fluid. Turbo hats will need to use a small 2mm shim to properly center on the GT cars, a caliper spacer, and 18" wheels like CCW to clear the larger rotor. All will be added weight.... Larger rotors are sexier I guess and these are a great deal.

I don't know? That why I found these links for you? I know that on my 05 911 S Launch Edition, I had the same rotor as on Turbos. As for GT2's? Also the rotors I have from an 09 997.2 Turbo have 1 mm difference in offset.
About the shims, that's one option. The other one is to buy 997.2 Turbos Calliper which are 1400$ for the pair. They are longer to fit the 380mm rotors.

Hope this will help?
