LED tail light resistors
LED tail light resistors
Hi All,
Anyone have a pair of Dectane rear led resistors that you're not using? Can I buy then of you? The rear fog light is not working with the new LED light. Also getting a "check rear fog light message".

You should have received a set with your purchase - they are packed with the lights. Ask your vendor.
I have some extras if the vendor doesn't pony up. Also, just wanted to make sure you knew that in most of the aftermarket LED taillights that you have to install the incandescent bulb from your OEM lights into that socket. Also, the rear fog only lights-up on the driver side of the car, not on both sides.

Just re-read his post. He says Dectane but mentions two bulbs so he doesn't have the Dectane lights...at least not like the Dectane lights I have. Not sure what he has at this point other than a fog light error. So if he does have bulbs the resistors from Shane should work.

The lights I have are Dectane & the lights worked fine initially for a short time, then I started getting the warning lights. Put in the extra resistors I got with them & same issue, just only on one side.
I've email Frank at Orange Tuning a number of times & ZERO reply.
I wouldn't recommend the Dectane or Orange Tuning to anyone.
There was no decent instructions or anything available on their website to trouble shoot these lights.
Shane at Del Rey will work with his customers & get things working right!

As an FYI, I had the exact opposite experience with Nello at Maxspeed-Motorsports if you're looking for a reputable dealer that stands behind his products and helps his customers solve any issues that might arise.
Received some resistors from Shane in the mail this week.
I'm going to meter the wires for each function of the light & connect the resistors in series to the fxn of the light that gets disabled when the warning light is elicited.
I'll take some photos when I get something that works & post it on the 997 Turbo forum

Does anyone know if these resistors will also work for OEM LED tails?
I have OEM 997.2 tails custom installed on my 997.1 and have hd an error message displayed (check brake light, check rear fogs). Im wondering if I can use the decline resistor pack to resolve my issues
