Is the GT Speed worth the extra $$$

I'm looking to get a used GT and wonder if the GT Speed is worth the extra money over a regular GT? I'm a power junkie so if I were to end up w/ a regular GT, then would have to spend some money on an EVOMS tune and maybe an exhaust. I can probably get an '06 or '07 GT for $50K less than an '08 Speed so what is your take?

'07's and later have the newer electronics so I would avoid the '06. I think the most bang for the buck is the '07 with a tune. I plan to get the GIAC tune this spring. That being said, there is still something special about the speed.

Well you are going to spend a lot of time and money for a tune that frankly will devalue the car

just how many people will want to buy a used modded GT?

I would guess not many...it's not the same as Porsches

my GT Speed is fantastic and I love it

the exhaust sounds amazing and it's a very fast car for one that weighs as much as a Sherman tank

so my vote is get the speed. It's more rare and will hold it's value better

personally I think it's actually a good value for all the upgrades they have built in from the factory.

If we (by that I mean my wife) didn't want the convertible, I definitely would have gone for the Speed. I didn't want to spend what a Speed convertible cost.

the prices on the 08' speeds are coming down. Definitely would not buy a brand new one. consider an 07' mulliner with a tune

Very True! I would not be messing with buying any Bentley brand new. They are not holding their value at all. New (997 and up) Porsche TT's hold there value much better than a Bentley.
