Detailed my GT...few pics

Car was in need of TLC so had her detailed to removed swirl marks then opticoat applied on body and wheels. Interior was cleaned and treated with leatherique, bloody good stuff! I cant believe how much leather is in this car...anyone know how many cows are inside?

Sorry only have a few pics from my iphone and had to resize them for forum so might look a bit fuzzy.

Photo was taken in New Territories part of HK

I hear you concerning the amount of leather in the car. I did a two step clean and condition yesterday with Ziano products and it took quite a bit of time and effort. My detailer said my leather was bad enough for the Letherique.

You will love the optoicoat. I got caught in a good rain storm the other day and it was something to see the rain skating off the hood. Nice ride there.

It's really is amazing how much of the interior is wrapped in leather. Leatherique is great for both new and old leather. It really cleaned up the leather on the doors which had a few marks and stains from shoes plus the hidden area when thigh support is extended. I also found out that opticoat on rubber makes it like new again, truly a great product.

+1 on Leatherique. Have used it exclusively for many years as do the vintage Roller guys too.

I have to try the Leatherique. How long do have to leave the conditioner on before using the cleaner? I heard from 24-48 hours????

No I have not. I do not wax anymore at all. No more waxing for me for at least three years. After Opitcoat it is not necessary. I asked my detailer pro about adding a coat of wax and he said i could but it would not stick to the coating amounting to waxing for no reason. This stuff beads water better than any wax ever could.

Dr D,

Rejuvinator in warm climate for 24 to 48 hours

Then wipe with Prestine Clean.

It will take another few days for it all to 'settle' yet you can sit in the seats without worry of it staining your clothes is my experience.

After initial Rejuvinator treatment, you may never need to do that again for years depending on your climate/humidity. i have a special mix of Prestine Clean with a small touch of Rejuvinator in it for once a year wipe downs. Really does work great on natural leather like that in a Roller, Bentley, etc.

How does it smell? The Zaino smells like leather and that is a plus but I doubt it conditions like the Leatherique combo treatment.

The smell of Leatherique is neutral so you'll still have that wonderful Olde English leather smell
Zaino is good, yet as you said it is not like Leatherique.

enjoythemusic, didnt know you could mix Rejuvinator with prestine clean. I normally let Rejuvinator soak for overnite and feed it around the edges/stitching the most. Wipe down and then condition is over with prestine clean, no smell that I can notice.

dr. d, really no need for a new application after 3years? Its quite harsh in HK with road fallout so I may get new application yearly just to be extra sure I have max protection.

home mike, no DIYing as its too hard and u must use a machine if u want paint correction and max shine. Used a private detailer who is a friend of mine who does it at your home or his, msg me if you need more details. Who do you use for your array of cars?
