X pipe or h for conti gt custom job

I just wanted a bit more bite from the exhaust so I was just going to have a shop chop out the resonator and 2nd cat as done in the mid pipe kits fabspeed and other companies sell

Just not sure if I should do an x or h
I did a x in my s550 and it made it too silent

Any suggestions?

I personally think that h or x doesn't matter. It's your stock mufflers you will need to change out too. Ask the Doc. I ran them both and on stock mufflers it hummed. On custom sports mufflers they sound quit exotic.

X-pipe will generally flow better. The big thing will be the lack of resonators and cats will make for a louder note, but as Wedge mentioned, the mufflers really control the tone.
Make sure you use a good exhaust shop - cheaper builders generally use a crush-bender (since it is cheaper) and it will look and sound worse!

my guy does stainless mandrel bent. proper work

but replacing the muffler with that valve i dont want problems after, I have read you cant just plug that valve to leave it open all that time it effects emissions and other stuff, not sure how true that is. I originally just wanted to plug the vac line so it stays open all the time. I dont always want to drive around in sport mode I dont like the way it revs and downshifts like that all the time.

My vacuum line is plugged. Can't tell you how it would affect your powerplant. The tuners can answer that question. Mine is just a wee bit on the high strung side. So the tuning on that ECU might need to be tampered with?

I want to pull the vacuum line as well and plug it, but am unsure if it will throw a CEL. I do not believe the info in that thread is all true although I am no expert. My friend has pulled the fuse on his AM Vantage and has no warning lights and car does not run richer.

Check engine light does not come on when you plugged the vacuum line. Go to my thread "ready to rumble" on page 8 on this forum. It's a video and sound clip. Do you want it to sound like this?
