New Owner!

Hello All!

Well I went into my franchised dealer for Bentley, BMW, Mercedes, Land Rover, to buy a Range Rover, and well it didn't quite work to plan.

The RR's available didn't raise my pulse, but then the sales manager handed the keys to a Bentley Continental GT and suggested I "borrowed" it for an hour or two!

Well that was me sold. So now I take delivery of a one owner, June 2007 Coupe, with just 5600 miles and a complete Bentley FSH on Tuesday.

It's Silverlake blue, saffron and dark blue secondary and is as close to a new car as possible with a FBSH. Dealer has just given it a full service as per factory recommendations and also included a full Bentley Warranty and the next service!

It's a long wait to Tuesday.........

Sounds exciting, you're going to enjoy it - but where will you open it up in Jersey? I was there on a visit a few years back, and one day when I was coming out of the zoo I heard the unmistakable sound of a Ferrari going very fast.

Except it took a long time to get to me, and when it eventually rounded the corner it seemed to be doing about 30mph in first gear. At the time I thought it was a waste of machinery. But the CGT is a different beast and will suit the island roads very well I imagine.

Don't forget to put some pics in the Photo thread!

Yeah I know the test ride dilemma. I was planning on a Merc SL 550 or a Jag XKR but after one ride in the GTC I was screwed.

Enjoy.

Congratulations! Ah yes, the waiting.... yet she will be well worth it! I see you live in New Jersey, thus with the right tires she is INCREDIBLE in the snow!

If it is Jersey in the Channel Islands as I took from his location, the national speed limit is 40mph (64km/h), hence my comment.

If it's New Jersey, you and he can compare snow tires till the cows come home

Between buying and collecting mine I only had to wait a day and that was long enough!
Enjoy.

Pictures! We need pictures! My first CGT was Silverlake with Saffron & Nautic blue and Olive Ash Burl veneer on dash and doors. I LOVE that color combo!

Congrats! I bought mine the same way just a year ago.

After driving everything else, and ignoring the Bentley, the salesman made the fantastic suggestion to just take it out for the heck of it.

If they can get you in them they sell themselves after that!

Exactly the same for me. The sales lady said just drive it for the fun of it. The car got inside my head real bad.
