Boot/Trunk release via badge.

Boot/Trunk release via badge.
My 04 GT has keyless entry but the boot/trunk has to be opened via the remote fob or the switch on the door.
I cannot open it by touching the Bentley badge. Is this normal or do I have a fault? Reading IETIS makes me think the badge should work.

HI ALL,
is there a fuse that can be checked 1st as i have the same problem,
fob and door release work fine but not the boot "B".
can you bench test it, ie multimeter. if you loop the two wires together will it open the lock.
thanks, JOC

My release button does work but not as I was expecting. If there is any actual movement as it's pressed, then it's imperceptible.

HI ALL,
tuck the panel off in the boot, looped the two wires and bingo the boot opened
so has some one ever tuck one apart to see how they work.

I reckon they just wear out. I had mine changed when it was serviced.
Not straight forward either. The new ones are slightly different resulting in the boot button opening having to be enlarged a little.
Sorry WES77Y, I didn't see your kind offer before getting it fixed.
