Hi, I am taking the car for a service in June, so i will ask them when i am there.

 

....I have this problem, or let's say one of my problems is curiosity...I can't rest till I get answer....I will have answer within 48 hours and let you know...from the appearance and location I would say it's not the Battery Charge connection, they are usually discreet...from location I am guessing it is a mechanical trunk opening device, although this would be a first...Interesting that it winds up behind the plate...JimB

 

....just spoke to one of the most experienced Bentley persons in California, he has no idea what our mystery device is...you mentioned that you live next door to your Dealer, could you possibly call the dealer to inquire...I would appreciate it...and saves me calling a fellow in Crewe...he is a big mucky-muk who we met at Pebble Beach...don't like to trouble him on minor item...thanks JimB
