Reverse lights 'bulb' size? '09 flying spur
Hi all:
I want to change the back-up lights to LED. In a 'normal' car, it should be as simple as pulling out the bulb and replacing it with an LED bulb, but on the bentley ('09 flying spur)...
I can't get the bulb out! The housings pry off of the bumper in seconds, and i can access the back of the housings easily. I can locate the rear of the 'bulb' but it doesn't seem to unscrew. In fact it doesn't look like the bulb itself is supposed to be removed from the housing at all.

What the heck's going on here? Am i missing something? Thanks for any ideas!

That's the one bulb I haven't swapped
I usually use this guy for my leds
So far good luck

I recall for the license plate light I went thru about 3-4 bulbs to get on that did not flicker
Haha... It IS bizarre! I guess Ill be dremeling that bulb out and retrofitting an LED bulb socket in.
Actually, I bet that part is glued in.
Les.
That's what i figure. The parts are common on ebay, etc. anyway. I doubt I'd ruin it though... I've done similar retrofits to lights before.
I just think its stupid that they'd design it this way. At least the unit comes off of the bumper easily. It's just in with clips.
I just ordered the LED bulbs from v-leds.com. They're called 'triton' bulbs. Incredibly bright. I'll update you guys when i get it finished!!

The bulb socket does twist out, just use some pliers, gently...
