Hello everyone. Ive been searching for the correct part number for the coil packs on my 08 B. I have found several numbers from throughout the site, as well as google. But im not sure which one to get. Here is the numbers I have, and if anyone can chime in, it would be greatly appreciated. thanks

2. 07C905100(think this is old number)
3. 07c905115k
4. 07c905115L
5. 07c905115J
6. 06B905115E


Dont know what the letters means at the end. And would like to cross it over to the vw part number.

 

Hi.

I know from the electric vacuum pump part numbers that the last letter denotes the year of manufacture.
I would be confident that that would relate to all VW/Audi/Bentley parts.
So, item number 4 would be the newest in your list. That's also the part no; shown on F/S website as it happens.

I agree with Les, and confirmed this last year with Jason Giannetti, the "L" is the latest update, you can see the dates on the pictured coils, L on the left, K on the right.

I am not sure if the Audi A8L W12 non turbo coils are useable in the Bentley, maybe a different rate of spark ??? But you asked for the Audi part number, so here it is, mind you that I purchased 12 of these back in August of 2013 for my 2005 Audi A8L W12 from Princeton Audi at $17.25 each, part # 07C 905 715A.

Also notice that the date on the old coils are dated 2009 (prior tuneup) in my 2005 Audi A8L W12, I believe that the new coils I installed were dated 2009 also, as can be seen on the box "31.07.2009", so at the time the "715A" was the updated replacement for the Audi.

ok. My vw dealer has that 07c905715A in stock for 40.95 each. I got that number from someone on here, whom installed them on there gt(can't remember who). So this is a good one to use? I really appreciate the information.

I can not confirm whether or not the Audi W12 "715A" will take the place of the Bentley "115L" , I have heard that the updated coils support a hotter spark plug, also I called Princeton Audi to question why you're being quoted $40.25 per coil when I paid $17.25 per Coil In 2013, the answer was that in 2013 is when the update was done so therefore Audi gives a great discount when it has something to do with a technical service bulletins on those parts, today those 07C 905 715A coils will cost me $30.25 each from the list price you were quoted.

 

Hello Johnny, I understand what you are saying. Now here is a kicker that I found. On fleabay there is coils for the bentley, in a bentley box with the 715a number on it, for 54.95.... then there's a vw coil with 715a on the box for 31.03.......put the 715a in the search, and the bentley one comes up. Now I'm confused. lol

 

never trust with listing on eBay they list parts to fit all kinds of vehicles that they actually do not that's just my experience.
