Obviously everyone's opinion is different. I really like them, however, I slightly prefer matte when it comes to the darker colours. Silver I prefer glossy and shiny. Black I prefer matte, simply because it gives a slightly darker effect.
That's not to say they don't look beautiful, because they do Great work!!
Good feedback they are factory gloss black face I had the lip/barrel done over in satin black. The lip was originally polished silver. They would look hott in matte black.
Lol thank you @BWings i value your input. My car gets a lot more attention.
Funny thing about black wheels, they're so controversial. On other sites where I am a member black wheels vs. chrome ones are hot topics. Probably the most heated exchanges occur on the Corvette forums where there are numerous threads and hundreds of posts arguing the black/chrome wheels preferences.
There, I took interest in it BC there are so much data in all those posts. From what I was able to analyze, chrome wheels were preferred over black wheels at a ratio of about 5:1. Then I looked for a demographic. A strong correlation exists on one single demo and nothing more...age. Seems as though if you're older and grew up from childhood in the ancient world of "chrome everything" you tend to be in the chrome camp today. Younger owners preferred black over chrome.
Regards the Corvette world (at least the C6 version) the 5:1 correlation also tracks with the membership as most of Corvette C6 owners are well past their early sixties (about 5:1) and living or reliving their childhood dream of someday owning a Corvette....with chrome wheels. I am a contrarian in that demo being well into my sixties and I had black wheels on my Victory Red Corvette, and now black wheels on the Bentley.
Nice to live in a world where choice is a valuable asset.....
In my opinion, the OEM Bentley wheels are the best match for the CGT. Most other cars benefit from after market wheels, but Bentley really got it right with their wheels. The only change I would make would be to swap in some stationary center caps, cause they are so cool.
