Continental GT 2004 issues

Hi guys,
Guessing both egt sensors needs to be changed? Or it could be more more to it? How hard is to replace egt sensors? anyone experienced similar issues? No lights on dashboard. Would faulty egt sensor damage turbos?

Try starting over and delete all the trouble codes. Many little things over time can set pending codes, no check engine light.

Often the old exhaust temperature sensors which are brown eventually fail. The new style apparently an improved design are black. Search Flying Spares for replacement parts.

In summary, yes under high boost and high exhaust temperature a faulty exhaust temperature sensor can be detrimental. Their job is to monitor exhaust temperature and to save the engine when excessive exhaust temperatures occur.

Your fuel trims are off. That would indicate an upstream problem. Vacuum leaks on the early Bentley as a 2004 need evaluation. Worth doing a smoke test on the vehicle.

Tool

My independent shop borrowed the tool from the local Bentley dealer, who reluctantly loaned it.
