P-0442 code after flooded fuel filler door
P-0442 code after flooded fuel filler door
Bentley Continental GT 2010. The drain line in the fuel filler cap was clogged, we had a heavy rain and the car threw a P-0442 code. I opened the fuel filler door and saw that the inside was full of water. I unclogged the drain line and the water drained out. Re seated the filler cap, cleared the code, and then it came back. I am thinking that instead of a small evap leak it might be that water got into the Active Charcoal filter system. Is my train of thought correct? If so, where is the charcoal canister located? Or should I do a smoke test? If so, where do I attach the smoke machine for this code?
