Power steering issue?

With my 05 CGT, as soon as I put some throttle the steering becomes heavy, as if the power steering is only working partially. At idle all is fine. Oil is clean, level OK. Anybody?

To my knowledge it seems like the system has failed & needs resetting (ross tech) if the main box has failed the steering would feel heavy even at idle ...
Hi Rico
That makes sense, the symptoms are exactly as you describe.
Is it possible to do the reset with a VAG V-Checker? Or can it be a failed Controle Module?
It works totally fine at idle/low rpms.

I disconnected and connected the batteries, no change.
Steering light at idle/parking/reverse, stiff at acceleration like before.
44-Steering Assist gives "comm error" with v-checker. Module/Relay malfunctioning?
