Please, if you are ever not able to access your trunk because of dead batteries, then unlock the door with the physical key, and apply power as I stated above through the C/L or tapping into the fuse box at the lower dash area, tap into a 20 amp or 30 amp body fuse and give it some time to charge up, or give the trunk release button a quick try, but never try to start the engine this way, also one could unlock the door as stated with the key blade and pop the hood to access power connection at the firewall.

You can trickle charge the batteries through the cigarette lighter (need the proper adapter of course). That should give you enough juice to pop the trunk.
