Headlight Warning - Flashing Headlight

Any thoughts on the cause: I have a 2008 Bentley Continental GTC. Last night a headlight warning was displayed along with the warning icon for headlights. My left headlight will turn on, then off, then flash for a few seconds, then go completely off. I have turned the vehicle on and off, changed the headlights from automatic to constant, etc. Nothing changes - I still get the flashing left headlight until it completely turns off. I can understand the bulb going bad and needing to be replaced, but I know the bulb works because it flashes on and off before turning completely off. As a side note, I had the car washed the same morning that this started happening, but I assume that's just a coincidence.

Any link to the left indicator, try switching around with that while headlights on. Also hazards. Just a thought.

You have a bad bulb. My 09 did the same thing and it was the bulb. You can change the drivers side without much difficulty. You have to work with one hand. Be careful to have the bulb seated before replacing the spring tabs or you will bend them. It is best to use a small piece of double side tape on the bulb base and that will keep the bulb up against the mounting freeing your hand to secure the tabs. I bought my bulbs from Audi.

You have to rotate the silver cap and pull out. Squeeze the two wire tabs together to release the bulb.
