One Touch All Windows Up/Down?

On my 2009 GT, when I first got the car I could push/hold the right rear window button and all windows would go up/down.

Then I brought it in for service and had a new main battery installed. They reinitialized all systems as part of the battery replacement.

However I now do not have that one button all down/up function.

Is there a way I can reprogram that function or does it require the use of a scan tool?

Thanks.

With the window fully up, press the switch down until it is bottomed out, then raise the window till its at the max. This'll reset the anti-trap feature, the computer needs to see the location of the glass.

Thanks, Rob. Just to be clear - are you referring to the right rear window switch?

Doing this will regain the one touch all windows up/down?

Hello Randy,
Please post a picture of your switch panel on your driver's door.

It appears to be an option, so if you have it you would have the multi window black button to the left as shown in that attached picture of the black unit from a 2007, a 2010 shows the same switch setup for global close and open, now before anyone gets confused, 2004-05 N/A vehicles got the black round "Global Close" button on the center console, whereas the ROW got push button start instead.

My rebuild vehicle with the 2007 -2010 interior parts has PB start, but only 2 rear window lock buttons, (shown in red) so no global open or close.

Johnny

...

Johnny to the rescue once again!

I've read through the manual but must have overlooked that. I didn't realize those were function buttons.

Ok so the one on the left toggles on/off all windows up/down. What does the right button do?

Locks the rear window switches, child safety.

Now for the real question, does anyone think that button knows it's a global close/open button, or is it in the coding somewhere for this option, meaning I wonder if I can change coding to make my left rear window lock button to become a global button....

It would make better sense for the left rear switch to be the universal one as it would be on the same side as the activation switch.

Thanks to this thread I have figured out how my universal window button works in my 2015 GT Speed. Press it, then the drivers side rear window switch controls all windows.
I don't have the manual or I probably could have easily figured that out on my own.

Sorry to dredge up this old post…

@Johnny Hotspur GT did you ever locate any coding or adaptation values for this? My 2007 CGT has the 4-window button on the drivers door switch panel, but it acts just like a child lock for the left rear window.

I’m assuming these functions will be handled by 46-Central Convenience. The VCDS labels file for this shows only 3 coding variants, all relating to the boot lid. There’s loads of adaptation options, but none of them seem to apply to the 4-window button.
